5 May, Day 8, Cefalù - Agrigento

Today we crossed the island again and we went from the northern coast to the southern one, where we could admire the famous "valley of the temples" in Agrigento, a town founded by the greeks around 2500 years ago.

Hoje atravessamos novamente a ilha e fomos desde a costa do norte para o sul, onde podemos admirar a famosa "Vale dos Templos" em Agrigento, uma cidade fundada pelos gregos por volta de 2500 anos atrás.

5 May, Day 7, Tropea - Cefalù

Today we crossed Sicily from east to north, we passed along mount Etna and then we crossed the Madonie mountains, it was a really great road with almost no traffic and we also enjoyed a delicious coffee break with the traditional "cannolo" from Sicily! After dinner all the group received the official Edelweiss t-shirt of the tour and it was a small nice event!

Hoje atravessamos Sicília de leste a norte, passamos ao longo Etna e, depois, cruzamos as montanhas "Madonie", foi realmente um roteiro bonito com quase nenhum tráfego e também comemos um delicioso "cannolo" da Sicília na pausa café! Depois do jantar todo o grupo receberam as t-shirt oficial Edelweiss da viagem e foi um pequeno evento!

4 May, Day 6, Tropea, rest day

Today after breakfast we climbed mount Etna, the biggest volcano in Europe!

Hoje, depois de tomar cafè da manha, fomos subir no monte Etna, o vulcao maior da Europa!

3 May, Day 5, Tropea - Taormina

Today we departed from Tropea and we left the italian "boot" to go on the biggest island of the Mediterranean, the beautiful Sicily!

Hoje partimos de Tropea e deixamos a "bota" da Italia para ir para a maior ilha do Mediterrâneo, a bela Sicília!

2 May, Day 4, Maratea - Tropea

Today we left the wonderful hotel in Maratea to enter the Calabria region. After the lunch break in Altomonte, we reached Tropea on the coast.

Hoje saímos do  maravilhoso hotel em Maratea para entrar na região de Calabria. Após a pausa para o almoço em Altomonte, chegamos a Tropea, na costa.

1 May, Day 3, Maratea

Rest day in Maratea, we organized a small tour up to the statue of the "Cristo Redentore" and then we had a delicious picnic on the beach!

Dia de descanso em Maratea, organizamos uma pequena excursão até a estátua do "Cristo Redentor" e, em seguida, tivemos um delicioso piquenique na praia!

30 April, Day 2, Pompei - Maratea

Today, after leaving the hotel in Pompei, we rode on one of the most celebrated coasts of Italy, the famous Amalfi Coast. Unfortunately this place is too celebrated and, since summer is coming, it was also quite crowded! Our lunch stop was in Amalfi, the most important town of the coast, where we had time to admire the wonderful cathedral. Amalfi was an independent republic from the 7th century until 1075 and rivalled Pisa, Genoa and Venice in its domestic prosperity and maritime importance. Then we rode again on the coast until Salerno, where we took the highway for a short while and then we went to Paestum for a short coffee break before arriving at our beautiful hotel in Maratea, where we will stay for two nights!

Hoje, depois de sair do hotel em Pompeia, nós dirigimos em um dos litorais mais famosos da Itália, a famosa Costa Amalfitana. Nossa parada para o almoço foi em Amalfi, a cidade mais importante da costa, onde tivemos tempo para admirar a maravilhosa catedral. Amalfi era uma república independente desde o século 7 até 1075 e rivalizou Pisa, Gênova e Veneza, em sua prosperidade nacional ea importância do transporte marítimo. Depois dirigimos novamente na costa até Salerno, onde pegamos a autopista por um curto tempo e depois fomos para Paestum para um café antes de chegar ao nosso lindo hotel em Maratea, onde vai ficar por duas noites!

29 April, Day 1, Rome - Pompei

Today we left the millenary city of Rome and we headed south, direction Naples, the itinerary was quite long but also beautiful! We stopped at Castel Gandolfo, the summer residence of the Popes, for a coffe break and then for lunch in Priverno, then we took the highway direction Naples because we wanted to arrive at Pompei in time to visit the ruins of the old roman town, that was buried by the Vesuvius volcano in the year 79AD, almost 2000 years ago!

Hoje saímos da cidade milenar de Roma e fomos para o sul, em direção a Nápoles, o itinerário foi bastante longo, mas também bonito! Paramos em Castel Gandolfo, a residência de verão dos papas, para um cofee-break e, em seguida, para o almoço em Priverno, depois pegamos a estrada em direção a Nápoles, porque queríamos chegar em Pompeia em tempo para visitar as ruínas da antiga cidade romana, que foi sepultado pelo vulcão Vesúvio no ano 79AD, quase 2000 anos atrás!

We are in Pompei... what huge lemons! Maybe it is because of the fertile volcanic ground? Nos estamos em Pompei, que limoes gigantes!

In Pompei you can't miss a visit of the world famous ruins of the old roman town, here we are in the amphitheatre. Em Pompeia visitamos as famosas ruinas da cidade antiga romana, aqui estamos no anfiteatro.

It was a great day, now let's go to bed because tomorrow the briefing is at 8:30 again!
