Day 7: Port Vendres - Castelldefels
Our last riding day - unbelievable, and sad but true! another great day on the bike back to the place we started from ... It's hard to decide which of the tour days is the best - each had its very special quality - ridingwise, landscapewise, weatherwise, peoplewise, ...
An extremely great tour with extremely nice people on extremely grippy roads has come to an end. An we say goodbye using the German expression: "Auf Wiedersehen" (till we meet again):
Day 6: Ax - Port Vendres
Col de Pailheres
:
Day 5: Luz - Ax-les Thermes
A great riding day spiced up with out "goats path experience"
two men after a fantastic riding day:
Day 4: Pamplona - Luz-Saint-Sauveur
This was the day with the highest amount of water that we've had in our lives: water from above, from the side, under our tires ...water everywhere. We went to France going through the heaviest rainfalls Basque Contry had for decades!
Some impressions will follow shortly.
Some don't have grip heating
Day 3: Rest day Pamplona
this was Daniel's day: we set out on a mission to visit the village his greatgrandfather set out to America - in the 1880s at the age of 13!! So we accompanies Dan to visit this place and were pleased with it: Etxalar near San Sebastian - a neat and cosy place up in the Pyrenees with extremely helpful and amiable people - just like Dan
and some say it was raining dogs and cats - but that is only half the truth...
Day 2: Tremp - Pamplona:
another great riding day enjoying the perfect surface of the roads here.
A short break near Monte Aneto to have one of the strongest coffees in the Pyrenees:
lunch stop in the beautiful medieval village Aínsa:
Day 1: Castelldefels - Tremp:
coffee break on Montserrat before we dive into Pyrenees' pool of sweepers, curves, switchbacks, biker's heaven:
saying goodbye to the Mediterranean:
