HAT1301

Freitag, 31. Mai 2013 | Oliver Kraft | Europa

The last day took us out of Austria and into Germany. There we visited King Ludwig's castles Nueschwanstein and Linderhof. After lunch it was back north to Munich to end the tour. A week of great riding in the beautiful Alps brought new friends together and longing for more riding.

Pontresina (Switzerland) to Warth (Austria)

Over the Julierpass straight to the Picnic spot in Heidiland where the

Duke had a nice lunch prepared.

After he invited us to his castle in

Vaduz, Liechtenstein we went back to Austria. We wanted to go over the Furkapass. We found out

that it is closed and had to take a detour towards Warth. Our Irish friend

went to Innsbruck but didn't make it

because the road to the hotel closed at

8:00 pm .

Bolzano (Italy) to Pontresina (Switzerland)

Getting Gas in Italy is an adventure,

but we finally found an open gas station. With a full tank of gas we went north on a corkscrew road and tunnels.

After Lunch in the walled city of Glurns

founded 1304 and a visit of the Unesco

protected monastary of Müstaier we had Coffee in St. Moritz.

Part of the group still didn't have enough and added Albula and Julier pass.

Todays rest day with three passes

and a great lunch at a mountain hideaway.

Some took the train to Venice for a change.

A great day in the dolomites.

Dry roads tight curves and a spectacular gondola ride up passi pordoi. The weather cooperated and blessed us with sun and warmth. everyone enjoyed the day. Tomorrow being a rest day in the beautiful city of Bolzano its hard to decide; a train trip to Venice, visiting the local shops and castles or going for another fun ride in the mountains. Decisions.... decisions.

The swinging balls tour

A good day riding in poor weather with fantastic riders from around the world.

People from Brazil, Mexico, USA, Ireland, Australia, Germany, Austria.

We found out that you can run a Multistrada without knowing where the key is. But if you want to get gas you

need it.....
