Then we rode up to Samnaun, a duty free area in the Swiss mountains. Think cheap watches, Swiss knifes, perfume, chocolate. This is our lunch restaurant, "El Rico".
First stop today was the picturesque village of Guarda

It was cold when we started our day in Pontresina this morning, only 2.5°C, but it quickly warmed up and the sky turned blue. We had amazing roads, dark tunnels, gorgeous views, cheap gas and chocolate, tight corners, dense fog, tasty burgers for lunch, so to sum it all up: it was a great day.

Day 3 . Start in Pontresina
While Bolzano had offered sunny 20°C...
It got really cold up on Stelvio, 2760 m.

First Aid for chilled riders: Bruno's home-made sausages
Even The Vegetarian had to take a bite!
Stelvio offers some of the tightest switchbacks in the universe
Second day start in Klobenstein
Southern India doesn't see much snow, so the guys were happy to play with the weird white stuff. This is on Passo Pennes, 2200 m up.

Yeah, THAT'S what we call lunch!!!

How do you pack the Alps into a four-day ride? Well, you don't. You just select the best spots, or - even better - have Edelweiss select them for you. Five young guys from Bangalore did just that and we took them from Seefeld/Tyrol/Austria (where it was raining) to Bolzano/South Tyrol/Italy (where the sun was shining). Day 2 took us to Passo dello Stelvio and on to Switzerland.
