Majestic Alps for Lebanon SPT16097

Mittwoch, 20. Juli 2016 | Angela | Europa

It is all about Ducati here in Bologna, and this is why 9 riding buddies from the Ducati Club Lebanon have met here for their tour crossing the Alps from the south end all the way to the north end.

What a great feeling to start a tour with 8 Multistradas (Red ones, of course, same as the Enduro version) humming out of the "red city" which this motorcycle calls its home!

And it goes without saying that this tour cannot start without paying a visit to the holy halls of the Ducati factory and the museum!

Good morning, the sun is rising in Bologna
A painting of the Scrambler at the side of a building? We must be in the right place
Obviously, they don't allow you to take pictures in the Ducati factory. It was highly interesting to see how these fantastic bikes are assembled! And the visit to the museum afterwards was great, too.

From left to right there are Ziad, Karim, Camille & Layla, Issam, Rabih, Amine, Emmanuel,
Here is the Ducati Club Lebanon together with tour guide Harald.
Ducati's history lined up
After our visit at Ducati, we took the fastest way to get across the Po area. Mounting up to 37°C, it was pretty hot for most part of the ride and every rider was glad to reach the cooler mountains at the end of the day. On the way to Bassano del Grappa we were passing by the Castello Inferiore in Marostica.
The dinner room was giving away the highlight of the next morning - the wooden bridge in the old town of Bassano del Grappa
The Multistradas fit nicely into the picture of the typical Italian city of Bassano
The entrance to the bridge
The Ponte vecchio was originally built in the 12th century, but has been destructed several times over the years. It was finally reconstructed in the 16th century and has remained like this ever since.
Nice and cool air brought our ride up the Monte del Grappa
