The last morning
Coffee is better than beer
From Klobenstein back to Mieming
It was unavoidable.... but we had to face it... the last riding day was coming up. However, we were awarded with plenty of sunshine and awesome roads that led us back to Mieming where we started out 8 days ago
A "Germanised" American...??? Only one of many possible side effects when you have a great time riding the Alps with like-minded friends The Penser Joch was the first of the day's three pass roads... not to mention all the winding roads in-between Even with a bit of Sunday motorcycle traffic the Timmelsjoch was pure riding pleasure
What's to see down there?
Sure enough...curves and motorcycles And the motorcycle museum on top of the Timmelsjoch definitely added value to the day
The helmet tree Restday riding in the Dolomiten
That‘s real and magic

Restday in Klobenstein
While some of us ventured out with Michaela on the bikes to explore the Dolomites, Dave and Angela went for an extended hike in the vicinity, visiting the Earth Pyramids
How could a fantastic and sunny day in the Dolomites end better than with a BBQ The local yodel band with the lady owner from the hotel Bemelman's totally rocked!!

Leaving Brunnen on the ferry over the Vierwaldstätter See, the weather was still dry
Unfortunately, the weather changed around lunch time but Michaela found a great and dry place to still do our picnic From Pontresina to Brunnen (Switzerland)
Either shy for pictures to be taken or busy with the map Daily briefing
The Albula pass was our first riding highlight of the day
Happy riders on Albula but it was even getting better and better during the day Our second pass was San Bernardino
For a Sunday, out there in Switzerland there were not too many bikes on the road. But we had a blast watching these vintage Triumphs taking off

James is daydreaming in awe over today's totally awesome riding day First riding day out of Mieming to Pontresina in Switzerland
Still at home in the USA, a bunch of truly excited riders were preparing their riding gear, they were studying the map, reading the tour booklet, and they were keeping an eye on the weather forcast, of course, before they were hopping over the big pond to finally arrive in Mieming, Austria. They were all so happy to be handed over their bikes and almost couldn't wait to start out their Alps tour this morning
The fist riding day has started and was led by our new female tour guide Michaela. Thumbs up!!! Markus from the tour guide training team joined to see if everything was running smoothly and showed us how to drag a big Harley around the tight hairpin turns of Stelvio pass Gacher Blick
The medieval town of Glurns served as a first coffee stop
Passo di Stelvio
Crazy James in Livignio
Bernina Glacier
Surrounded by mountains and glaciers a fulfilling first riding day ends in Pontresina, a typical Swiss town.
