Welcome to our first day of riding. Touring center means yes we always stay in the same hotel and drive every day in a different direction. Today we are mainly going to Slovenia. The weather is excellent. And the day is rather rider focused. So what should go wrong. In the morning we take our first pass under the wheels, the "Loibl Pass" this leads us to Slovenia. There we will spend most of the day. After a stop at a monument to the probably most important part of European history of the 20 century, we continue to Bled, where our first coffee is waiting for us. After that we enjoy the view of the only island in Slovenia. 1001 curves and 1 pizza later we reach a viewpoint which gives us a great view over the Soca valley. Another 1000 curves later we climb the Mangart road. Spectacular and challenging at the same time....... oh man there would be soooo many things to tell...... what a day  

Willkommen zu unserem ersten Fahrtag. Tourencenter meint ja wir bleiben immer im selben Hotel und fahren jeden Tag in eine andere richtung. Heute nehmen wir uns hauptsächlich Slowenien vor. Das Wetter ist Ausgezeichnet. Und der Tag ist eher rider fokusiert. Also was soll schon schief gehen. Am morgen nehmen wir also unseren ersten Pass unter die Räder, den "Loibl Pass" dieser führt uns nach Slowenien. Dort werden wir die meiste Zeit des Tages zubringen. Nach einem Stop an einem Denkmal zum wohl wichtigsten Teil Europäischer Geschichte des 20Jahrhunderts, fahren wir weiter nach Bled wo unser erster Kaffee auf uns wartet. Danach genießen wir die Aussicht auf die einzige Insel Sloweniens. 1001 Kurven und 1 Pizza später erreichen wir einen Aussichtspunkt welcher uns einen großartigen Blick über das Soca Tal gewährt. Weitere 1000 Kurven später erklimmen wir die Mangart Straße. Spektakulär und Herrausfordend zugleich....... oh mann da wären noch soooo viele Dinge zu erzählen...... was für ein Tag

Today we had to make a decision, in the east and in the south it had rained. All the better that we are on a Touring Center Tour. This gives us the opportunity to react to the weather and just go in the direction which offers us the best weather. So today the "Nockerberge" were on the program. But before we plunge into the hairpin bends of the "Nockalm" road we visit "Gmünd" and enjoy a coffee in its beautiful old town. Once in "Gmünd", a visit to the only private Porsche Museum in the world is a must. After we have finally visited the somewhat bizarre looking divided church, we finally go up into the "Nocker" mountains. Another great day.

Heute mussten wir eine Entscheidung treffen, im Osten und im Süden hatte es geregnet. Umso besser das wir auf einer Touring Center Tour sind. Das gibt uns die möglichkeit auf das Wetter zu reagieren und eben in die richtung zu fahren welche uns das beste Wetter bietet. Also standen heute die "Nockerberge" auf dem Programm. Doch bevor wir uns auf die Spitzkehren der "Nockalm" Straße stürzen besuchen wir "Gmünd" und genießen einen Kaffe in dessen Wunderschöner Altstadt. Einmal in "Gmünd" darf natürlich ein besuch im einzigen privaten Porsche Museum der Welt nicht fehlen. Nachdem wir schlussendlich die etwas skuril anmutende geteilte Kirche besucht haben, gehts endlich hinauf in die "Nocker" berge. Ein weiterer großartiger Tag.

Today we head east to the South Styrian wine region. Even the ancient Romans appreciated the grapes from this part of their empire. Moreover, there is a road here that, seen from a certain angle, actually has the shape of a heart. Very romantic. Driving this day has a lot to offer, especially in the afternoon with the Soboth Pass. Unfortunately, we were lucky with the weather only in the morning, the rain from the south has caught up with us much faster than expected so we decided after lunch to take the highway towards the hotel.

Heute geht es nach Osten in die Südsteirische Weinregion. Schon die alten Römer wusten die trauben aus diesem Teil ihres reiches sehr zu schätzen. Ausserdem gibt es hier eine Straße die von einem bestimmten Winkel aus gesehen tatsächlich die Form eines Herzens hat. Sehr Romantisch. Fahrerisch hat dieser Tag vorallem am Nachmittag mit dem Soboth Pass eine menge zu bieten. Leider hatten wir mit dem Wetter nur am Vormittag Glück, Der Regen aus dem Süden hat uns sehr viel schneller eingeholt als gedacht sodass wir nach dem Mittagessen entschieden haben die Autobahn richtung Hotel zu nehmen.

Today we actually wanted to go to "San Daniele del Friuli". Unfortunately, the weather does not really play along. But we are on a tour center. so we asked the tour guide if we could not somehow use the day differently. And it became then a short tour, which allowed us at least an original Italian cappuccino. And that was at the top of the "Plöckenpass", which also marks the border with Italy. After that we drove down again, and learned about local drink specialties and of course bought. We continued on two beautiful mountain roads and the highway back to the hotel, where we enjoyed the wellness program for the rest of the day.  

Heute wollten wir eigentlich nach "San Daniele del Friuli" fahren. Leider spielt das Wetter nicht wirklich mit. Aber wir sind ja auf einem Tourenzentrum. also haben wir den Tourguide gefragt ob wir den Tag nicht irgendwie anders sinnvoll nutzen könnten. Und es wurde dann eine kurze Tour, die uns zumindest einen original Italienischen Cappuccino ermöglichte. Und zwar auf der Passhöhe des "Plöckenpasses", der auch die Grenze zu Italien markiert. Danach fuhren wir wieder hinunter, und haben uns über lokale Getränkespezialitäten informiert und natürlich eingekauft. Weiter ging es über zwei schöne Bergstraßen und die Autobahn zurück zum Hotel, wo wir den Rest des Tages das Wellness-Programm genossen.  

Today we would have had a great day ahead of us with lots of sightseeing. Unfortunately, the weather was not really kind to us. Fortunately, we don't have to drive on a touring center tour. instead, we enjoyed the wellness services at the hotel extensively. And hey that's vacation.

Heute hätten wir einen großartigen Tag mit viel sightseeing vor uns gehabt. Leider war uns das Wetter nicht wirklich gewogen. Glücklicherweise müssen wir auf einer Touringcenter Tour nicht fahren. stattdessen haben wir die Wellnessangebote im Hotel ausführlich genoßen. Und hey das ist Urlaub.
