Good morning Sunshine!
Shall we ask for more?
We better remember to wear our (black) sun glasses today!
It's gonna be a fascinating ride...
Another blue sky above us and a long island-crossing in front of us. The view over the temple on the terrasse is inviting us to take the first group picture of the trip.
Another loop around the greek monuments 2400 years old before to leave the town Agrigento in our rear-view mirrors and embark into a journey through small hilly roads and little villages like Prizzi and Corleone, famous for its Mafia heritage. Do they look so scary? Not at all, maybe the bad reputation they have has been overdone by Al Pacino movies. Or maybe not. We prefer not to investigate though, and we stop by just for a few (photo)shots...
As dear John sing in his immortal song we imagine living life in peace and we rest for some moments parking our bikes among fields of flowers...
Time for getting hungry comes soon and the Chef of the day - Alan - satisfies our appetite with a lavish picnic in the shade of tall trees populated with cows and sort-of-bulls that one of our travel companions is trying to tease. We were waiting to take a picture with the beast charging him. It didn't happen. Gladly.
The second part of the ride brings us through more villages and curves and after a coffee stop in Caccamo some descending hairpins lead us to the coast. Again. In few hours we crossed Sicily on some of its less-travelled roads and we reach eventually our destination for the night, the old-fashioned fishing village of Cefalù.
Ciao from your happy tour guides Michael and Manuel (Alan is above by the picnic table)... after a long and exciting riding day we enjoy some moments of seaview as well...
