Sunday, June 5, 2011 | Thomas Ritt | Africa

It's winter here in Johannesburg, but that doesn't mean we can't ride motorcycles. Just the opposite is true: we have blue skies, sunshine, and 20°C - just perfect. A truly international group from the US, Canada, Austria, Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, and Israel will set out tomorrow to scout a brand new tour through South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Botsuana.

Highlights of this tour include the world's second largest canyon, the Namib and Kalahari deserts, the world famous Etosha national park, and Victoria Falls. Check back for more infos and photos, we'll keep you updated!

The bikes are well equipped for this 3 week expedition Johannesburg is the largest metropolitan area south of the Sahara. The modern architecture downtown tells the story of an economic boom In the year 1 after the World Championship football is still everywhere
