THE ADVENTURE OF THE GRAND ALPS (CGA 1102) Part 3

Sunday, June 12, 2011 | Markus Hellrigl | Europe

After a great rest day in Briancon we were heading for the rest of the high passes in France. After the first one we took a real "Italian" break in Susa - best cappuchino ever! That's at least what Alex thought......

More good pass roads - and on Col d'Iseran tourguide Sigi was preparing an excellent picnic.........

...while Peter and tourguide Ed were freezing their a.. off

Where we heading for pass # 18 or #19 or #20? No clue, but it was just another series of twisties, switch backs, curves, drop offs and unbelievable views. Col di Petit St. Bernard, at the same time the border to Italy, was our last stop for the day.

Yesterday's ride took us to Como a lively town at the South shore of Lago di Como.

Today we followed the shore of the lake, glanced over to George Cloony's villa and headed for the mountains. We are allready adicted to curves....
