Day 6 Luz St Sauveur - Tarascon

The day of 10 passes! We follow a lot of roads taken by the Tour De France, including some of the highest passes. Plenty of challenges today: steep cliffs, cows on the road, construction, but we made it to Tarascon alright!

Last pass of the day!
Super Rob coming up the pass
A swiss rider came up the Col Tourmalet with his dog in the Tankbag....
Beautiful Arreau in France
Motorcycles and cows meet at the top of the pass

Day 5 Pamplona - Luz St Sauveur

Time to head into France! Taking in some lovely pass roads and twice climbing through the fog, above the clouds, what an amazing experience!

Antonio enjoyng the wonderful moment.
so does Donald...

Day 4 Pamplona - San Sebastian restday

We stayed two nights in our hotel in Pamplona, taking a nice little loop to explore the beautiful city of San Sebastian on the Atlantic ocean.

Day 3 - Avellanes - Pamplona

What a day! We covered more than 400km's of mostly twisty roads to arrive in sunny Pamplona!

Typical Tapas Bar downtown Pamplona
The kind of landscape we rode through most of the day.
Coffe break!
At the Col Boixol...
Gas stop!
Will and Paul, happy with the roads!
somewhere on the way we saw this beauty.....

Day 2 - Castelldefels - Avellanes

We had a great first day! Hot, sunny weather, empty, dry roads and nothing but us and the mountains.

First coffeestop was at Montserrat, with a great view over the valleys below.
The group before we went up to the Abbey of Montserrat
Our (big) group! A lot of friends from the USA, but also some from Australia and Brazil!
Somewhere along the road in the Pyrenees...
William checking if he's gotten rid of those chicken strips yet!
Now we're staying in the ancient Avellanes monastery, here's the courtyard.
Basil enjoying the courtyard peace and quiet.
Our two gentleman from South Carolina after a long hard ride.

Day 1 - Arrival

We're at Gran Hotel Rey Dion Jaime in Castelldefels, ready for our tour start.
Everybody can't wait to get their bikes out of this garage tomorrow!

Laurens,

I will be with you in September for this tour and riding a R 1200 GS. Are the cases similar to those on the adventure series or the regular GS. Also, are there luggage inserts for the cases or should we bring our own?

Thanks

They are regular GS cases, and you should bring your own case liners if you need them.
See you on the tour!

Thanks for the speedy reply and I look forward to riding with you. We are a group of five from New York and Connecticut. This will be my either sixth or seventh Eidelweiss tour.

I will bring my own case liners.
