Guided City Tour Barcelona

1 day before the Tour startet Steven or Esteban how we call him now,  decided to take the guided City Tour through Barcelona and so we spend the entire day in this beautiful lively city

Starting Point Plaza Cataluña
Casa Batlo from Antoni Gaudi
While walking through the famous Ramblas from the Plaza Catalunya to the status of Columbus we stopped by the Market Boqueria
very well selected " Jamon "
and of course a lot of Seafood....
at the Plaza Real, which is well known for a lot of Bars and Tapas incl. Street Performances and Life Music
The Cathedreal Santa Creu y Santa Eulalia
Of course we could not miss to visit the Basilica Sagrada Familia
yummy Seafood Tapas

Arrival Day

Everybody arrived safely and are listening carefully to the Welcome Briefing. We do have riders from Brazil, Canada, Great Britain, United States, Turkey and from Germany.

Day 1 : Casteldelfels to Monastir del Avellanes

Studies of the Master Map... what will be the Route today ?
First Stop at the bottom of Montserrat the holy Mountain of Catalunya
Vedad

Day 2: Monastir del Avellanes to Pamplona

Happy "fast" Jim enjoying the scenery.
Beautiful Landscape

Day 3 : Restday Pamplona

Today we made a Loop from Pamplona to San Sebastian. We went as well twice to France and had a beautiful riding day. After 330 km and hundreds of curves everybody arrived safely and happy back

Morning impressions

it got a bit chilly and some needed a pullover for their bones

arrived in San Sebastian

the typical and famous Tapas of San Sebastian. Nobody could resist.

Day 4: Pamplona to Luz St. Sauveur

Unfortunatly the weatherforecast was predicting rain - however we have been equipped adequatly and the mountains and the little french villages  are as well qiuite charming .. and the cafe au lait tasted double as good as normal.

everybody is studying the daily route...

Photostop somewhere in the Pyrenees...

Day 5 : Luz St. Sauveur to Tarascon sur Anege

Today we climbed the Col Tourmalet the highest pass in France and one of the highlights of the Tour. The weatherforecast predicted rain and fog and when we arrived at the top we have been surprised by the first snowfall of the year.....So we had to wai for 1 hour before we could continue our Journey. Wonderful scenery very unexpected and everybody had so much fun seeing the first snowflocks...

Day 6 : Tarascon sur Anege to Argeles sur Mer

Col de Arles ..Pass between Spain and France

Day 7 : Argeles sur Mer to Casteldelfels

Paella .....
Art needed a siesta
Already over ? .. Farewell Dinner, after 7 intense riding days, we reviewd all our adventures of this amazing trip. It was really great riding with you guys. Hope to see see you sometimes , somewhere again. Cheers... Pierre & Pablo

This was the most fun I've ever had. Great bike, great people, and great roads. The "extreme" tour was exactly what I wanted: more locals and less tourists, more riding and less downtime, more scenery and less traffic. Thanks Pierre and Pablo!

Pierre and Pablo were absolutely fantastic guides. Our crew came from seven different countries and could not have bonded or become better friends in the short time we spent together. This was my second Edleweiss tour and I can't say enough what a great job they do first by hiring great guides and then choosing the most scenic, challenging, and fun roads through Europe. I'll be back next year, and the next, and the next.
