A new Viking adventure begins, and our fearsome warriors make their way to the west, from the picturesque city of the 1952 winter Olympics, Oslo, to the small town of Vrådal.
A long day ahead takes us throughttwisty roads, round lakes to the highlands and all the way to Sola. The breathtaking scenery gets better by the minute.
The rest day takes us south, yet another beautiful and sunny day, meandering in and out of the coast, towards Flekkefjord and back to the Terland Klopp, a beautiful slab bridge.
A longer ride and a shorter ride were both possible and so, we did them!
Short ride today to Bergen. Two ferries in the Fjords show us the natural beauty of this country. The afternoon, takes us through a nice windy single lane section, before arriving to our hotel for two nights
After a long and tiring ride from Sola and two ferries, the city invites for sightseeing instead of a rest day ride.
The wooden houses, the fish market and the food stands, make for a great appetizers on what this city has to offer.
While the guides were hard at work, the guests enjoyed a Segway tour of the city.
Following, are their pictures
Today we ride north, the route takes us throught the Highlands towards Flåm, a cruise ship dock 190 kms inland. The road in the morning was beautiful and a taster for what the afternoon was going to bring.
High above, the lakes created by the melting snow are very appealing... maybe, too appealing.
Our adventure takes us to venture back i to the highlands, where the roads are twisty and a picnic waiting!! The afternoon ride is outstanding, switchback after switchback all the way to the bottom of the fjord, to our hotel by the waterfalls.
Last riding day takes us to the port town of Ålesund, the riding has been in crescendo since we left and as we leave we find ourselves with a beautiful set of hairpin turns that finish off in a beautiful viewing point of the town of Geiranger.
Tonight, we feast to celebrate the beautiful tour we have been able to share with our viking warriors.
