Last riding day! That means...more curves to go!
We leave Anterselva in the early morning, the clouds are gone and everything is perfect. We start climbing the passo Furcia and right after that the passo delle Erbe. Zero traffic, nice roads and perfect weather.
After a good coffee stop we reach Bressanone before touching Vipiteno and going on the passo Giovo road! Lunch up there was really tasty!
The highlight of the day is the Timmelsjoch pass and the motorcycle musuem on top of that! Just awesome!
It has been a great trip! Thank you to Craig, Jack, Tim, Phil and Alex!
The restday has been great, but today we have 8 passes on our list!
We leave early in the morning and we climb the Manghen pass. The road is narrow but there is no traffic! AWESOME!!!
We continue towards the Fiemme valley and soon we reach passo Rolle where a lot of supercars enjoy the curves!
Lunch is great as always in Italy, and up to the Cant del Gal it is even better!
The afternoon awaits us with 6 passes! Up and Down many times and soon we reach the heart of the Belluno Dolomites...they are just incredible!
On top of passo Giau we have a perfect view!
Usually it would be a rest day, but not on the alps extreme! Today we had our longest day, over 300km!!!
We left Levico in the morning, climbing straight away the Kaiserjaegerweg, a road built by the Austrian army in 1915 and soon we hit Passo Sommo!
After descending in the val d'Adige we rode on some narrow roads... Almost goat paths, but they are incredibly beautiful!
To drink our first coffee we reached the northern part of Lake Garda. The view is magnificent, the weather is warm and the traffic is not all to bad at the end!
We take our time along the western lakeside road and soon we ride on the strada della Forra with its incredible tunnels! A short stop at the best viewpoint over lake Garda and soon we have to eat something! All those views and curves made us hungry!!!
In the afternoon we ride on the Valvestino road and the Valle di Ledro. It seems almost a racetrack! Perfect pavement and one sweeper after the other!!!
Third beautiful riding day!
Today we started directly from Mount Penegal and descent the passo Mendola til Bolzano and after passing this nice city we climbed the mountains towards San Genesio, Hafling and Merano. After a little traffic we went up passo Palade and rode again through the Val di Non. The backroads here are incredible and soon we reach lake Molveno for lunch!
The sun is high, the temperature rises and soon our wheels spin towards the incredible mount Bondone, that divides Trento and the Lake Valley...incredible curves, no traffic and lots of fun!
After the descent we reach our destination at Levico Terme!
The best part? It was Jacks birthday and he had an awesome day!
The second day we start climbing the first real passes!
We leave Fiss in the clouds and we soon reach Switzerland for less than 20km of an incredible curvy road towards Samnaun and Martina.
After the first italian coffee in Glorenza we ride up Stelvio, the highest paved pass in Italy. The 48 switchbacks are no problem and the famous sandwich of Bruno is awaiting us on top.
Unluckily Gavia pass was closed so we had to ride up the Mortirolo pass, which is considered one of the toughest rides at during the Giro d'Italia!
Not long after that we head towards Val di Non and enjoy an ice cream before reaching our hotel on Mount Penegal
First day of the second alps extreme of 2019! The weather doesn't look the best but our small group doesn't really care! We are here for riding and enjoy our time in the alps!
We ride straight up to Kuthai to eat the tasty apple strudel! Soon after, through some small backroads, we reach Hochimst where we went downhill with the rollercoaster!
But we are in the alps, and so the first high alpine roads arrives! Kaunertaler gletscherstrasse!!!! We reached 2750m, almost as high as Stelvio pass.
Luckily with no rain we reached Fiss, our destination for the day!
