6AA2006 - Let's get started on the racetrack

Monday, August 24, 2020 | Christian Preining | Europe / Italy

Hi Bob,

you probably know that I am not an overenthusiastic blogger but your comment on the last blog "A family event" is pretty motivating. One part of my job, and I really like that part, is to make people smile. Now as you are telling me that a few words about our hobby can even spread hope in these times, its simply my obligation to you and the whole Edelweiss family to write more.

Well we did it again, and again there was a father & son team in the gang. But let me explain the headline with a few pics.

Picturesque setting of a nice little racetrack we use in preparation of the challenges ahead.
Tricky lineselection on a layout drawn by Formula 1 track designer Hermann Tilke.
Get ready!
Close your visors! Well at least the front row and go !!!
In times where Moto GP has to race in front of empty grandstands even we have to be tolerant and give our best without spectators and grid girls.
This is how tires look afterwards.
(Last week with the Family we had a funny conversation with the Italien Police. While having our first Cappuccino on Passo di Sella a group of Carabinieri seemed to be very interested in our tires. When we looked at them with questioning facial expressions one of them found our riding style pretty aggressive but explaining about our supermoto track time yesterday, made him smile in relief.)
Kaiserjäger Road on the way South to Lake Garda.
Some thousend curves later the riders who make it all the way to Garda are rewarded with maybe the best dinner combo of their motorcycle lifetime: pizza and birra rossa. What makes it so good? You need to come and see!

Hi Christian,

On your parting comment, ich verstehe, and I would love to burn a tire up with you again.
Hopefully one day soon we will get that chance, until then have great time at the 40 Anniversary, and raise a glass for us.

Cheers
Bob
