Saturday, July 31, 2021 | Michaela Achatzi / Ted Goslinga | Europe

Day 1 - Arrival day

Finally back on tour!!

After a heavy year of corona crisis, finally all the tours start to pick up again. We are very happy that we have a great group of riders from  the USA  who flew into Munich to join us for the first Best of Europe tour again!

Without having  much problems everyone was on time and excited to go on this  really nice tour to see the really heart of Europe and ride through it's  gorgeous landscape

We started out in Erding , east of Munich with a nice sunny sky and a good riding temperature our way heading into a northwestern direction

We stopped in Wolznach and drank some refreshments and coffee at a nice terrace in the center of the old city

A great day for riding and for the riders a good  opportunity tomget used to their bikes and the local traffic and its habits

And around 5.30 pm we rode intto the beautiful old citycenter of Rothenburg

in the evening some customers  joined us for a walking city tour with the famous Nightwatcher. A very entertaining guy who has a couple of nice stories to tell during the walk

A little bonus was a Simon and Garfunkel teibite band which was a very nice  ending of this first riding day

Later it became even  better with numerous switchbacks and more challenging curves. After a relaxed lunch at the cosy Mummelsee ( lake) we rode further down  and then westboud over the river Rhine into France where we will stay for two nigjts in the pitoresque village of Ribrauvillé
