4. Riding Day - Firenze to Volterra

I heard that somebody's got his birthday 2day.....little surprise for Larry on his very spezial day. All the best for you, dude.
One of the most spectacular bell towers in Europe. The Torre di Pisa. Build on sand, 200 years of building and still crooked....
Well, at least Galileo learned something out of it.....the law of gravity.
That's the beach of Pisa. It was not so hot, that we wanted to go for a swim. Next time maybe...
There's something with Italia and Ice Cream......sadly we couldn't fit that to a bike.
Wellcome to the Manhattan of Italia - San Gimignano. Once about a time there were 72 towers, 12 of theme are left. Well, its been some years between.
Little shot from the Piazza della Cisterna at the old town of San Gimignano
After a long and good day of riding, Michaela read my mind. She surprised us with boot beer and snacks at the parking from our Hotel in Volterra. Thanks so much honey - good job.

5. Riding Day - Volterra to Siena

After we explained that we can't do the wine testing because we still have some miles to do, the lord of the castel felt sad about us and took us on a tour through the building were the wine is produced.
The new building were the wine gets fermented......7000 liters a barrel
The storage room with barrels form 100 to 500 liters
The privat collection of the landlord. If you want to have a try, you must get a good friend of him. Otherwise these bottles are not for sell.....it doesn't matter how much you offer...
A little winery of the Chianti region. He sells "only" 700.000 Liters a year and only 5% of it in Italia. The rest goes all over the world. May one day you drink a wine from there in a complete different country, who knows....
The little privat house of the family. We made a photo to see if it would suit us....
We were lucky that the boy`s showing off. The girls were chilling at the gras and didn't bother at all.
I scream for you scream, we all scream for ice cream......
Ok....ice cream for everybody at the Piazza del Campo in Siena, one off the most beautiful Cities in Italia.
The boys in front of the Torre del Mangia, the belltower.
Gaul and Larry have a breathtaking view of the beautiful marble floors and sculptures
the dome of the cathedral in Siena
Siena's square, the most beautiful in Italy, in the shape of a shell

6. Riding Day - Siena to Pienza

A quick photo stop on the other side of Monte Oliveto....to much tourists on the main spot.....but our Tourguides will always find a hidden treasure...
Nice surprise - Michaela preparer a lovely and tasty picknick for us just before Pienza.
The weather was fantastic, the roads had good grip and were almost empty....good food and company with a nice few....what more you can ask for....?

7. Riding Day - Pienza to Roma

we are a bit sad, our last briefing
the beautiful Cathedral of Orvieto
Over a fantastic farewell dinner, Stefan and Michael say thank you for the great time and for riding with us and Edelweiss
