Day 1 - Arrival in Vence
Our very international group from USA, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, El Salvador amd Germany met in the beautiful hotel Les Messugues in St Paul de Vence.
After the welcome briefing everybody is excited about tomorrow and can't wait to get the engine startet.
Day 2 Vence - Valberg - 320 km
What a first riding day! We had it all, from fast sweepers to single lane hairpins. Great weather, great group. Highlight was the Gorge du Verdon with breathtaking scenery and fantastic roads.
Day 3 - Restday Valberg - 280 km
Our first rest day , but most of the group did not want to rest, they wanted to ride! We had a blast! Really challenging mountain roads, some fast sweepers and the Red Canyon for the second time. And not to forget, the special picnic on the top of a mountain.
Day 4 - Valberg - Vicoforte - 280 km
Today was the day of the passes. Hundreds of switchbacks, the famous Col de Turini and the breathtaking Passo di Lombarde. A lot of fun!
Day 5 - Vicoforte - Rapallo - 260 km
In the morning we had a relaxed ride through the wineyards and hazelnut plantations. Later on it got challenging on single lane roads and city traffic in Genua and Rapallo. Our fantastic hotel above Rapallo is a great reward for the effort.
Day 6 - Rest day Rapallo - 230 km
Of course we went out for a ride. The ractracklike SS1 to La Spezia and Cinque Terre was on the programm.
Great riding fun and scenic Corneglia. And even a blocked road did not held us up......
Day 7 - Rapallo - Finale - 250 km
Today we had some rain, but we avoided to get wet by having an extended lunch with excellent food. In the morning we went up to a spectacular lookout overlooking Genua.
Day 8 - Finale - Vence - 300 km
Last riding day in sunny conditions. A great variation of roads, one really challenging single lane road to the forest and everybody happy.
A great tour with a great group comes to an end. Hope to see you in the future on another Extreme Tour!
IWe are all a little bit sad to say good bye.....
