Motorcycles we know how to ride. But today our guests went out on very different means of transport. Plitvice Lakes National Park is a sight to behold, and there really is no better way to do it than do actually get ON the lakes. No motorcycles, but a little boat allowed us to do exactly that !
Our happy bunch from Dominican Republic know all about water. This time a lake instead of an ocean, but they got along perfectly well.
Steve and Maite actually went in full posing mode
But then Raoul and Isel said: we can top that !
Chris and Mike, our two Texan friends, they don't pose. They catwalk.
Hey but hang on a minute... Are there old DC3 aircraft hidden in a lake?
There aren't... But turns out that close to our hotel, a true hidden treasure was awaiting us. An abandoned Yuguslavian airforce base, right on the border with Bosnia-Herzegovina, provided part of the group with some truly unique bike-picture-opportunities Kiko decided he could be a DC3 captain. And well, being Kiko, he just did Sergio, always very precise, went to investigate the inside of this historic machine to the very last detail.
Dave doesn't need wings to fly when he's taking off on the runway
A very intriguing and historic place it is, and we were very priviliged to experience it with part of our group.
Very special atmosphere, and a place full of modern history and astonishing engineering.
More history on the way back to the hotel. The ruins of the old castle in Dreznik make a perfect picture stop to end an amazing (and again extremely diverse) rollercoaster-day.
