Day 1 - Arrival in Vence
The group from Canada and USA made it in time to Vence for the welcome briefing in our beautiful start hotel.
Day 2 - Vence - Valberg - 290 km
What a great first riding day! Canyon du Verdon and Daluis, the red Canyon were just amazing! Thousands of curves and grippy road. We had a lot of fun and all the riders did really well.
Day 3 - Restday Valberg - 210 km
Our first restday on the tour, but nobody wanted to rest.
3 riders decided to to a shorter loop to Entrevaux and the rest went for the long ride with some challenging roads. Everybody had a great day!
Day 4 - Valberg - Vicoforte - 300 km
A long but wonderful riding day. About 200 hairpins, 7 passes and final arrival in Vicoforte Italy.
The group was doing really well. Exhausted and happy. An extreme day on the Mediterranean Alps Extreme.
Day 5 - Vicoforte - Rapallo - 270 km
The morning ride through the Barolo Region was very scenic. In Cortemilia we had the world famous hazelnut cookies and im the afternoon we were heading to the coast on a breathtaking mountain road. Our final destination for today is Rapallo, a beautiful spot at the Mediterranean. Pete and Wayne had an extra loop to discover all the siderouds around Genua.
Day 6 - Restday Rapallo - 200 km
Some riders did not want to rest and we did a nice loop to Cinque Terre and the famous SS1, a racetrack like road leading to La Spezia. We had a blast!
Day 7 - Rapallo - Finale - 240 km
The morning ride along the coast and up to a lookout point overlooking Genova was fantastic. Later on we hit some challenging mountain roads and at the end propabely the most narrow public road in Italy......
Day 8 - Finale - Vence - 300 km
Unfortunately our last riding day, but one of the best!
Medieval Zuccarello for Coffee, very nice! Countless corners on the following passes and one challenging single lane mountain road at the end.
We made it safe to the hotel and everybody had a smile in his face...
Well done!
See you on the next Extreme Tour!
