Arriving in Sardegna - after a night on the ferry, the boat comes to Olbias harbour in the morning, toches Olbia together with sun

The parking lot is perfect for small italian cars... well, not really enough for our biketrailer, but i think well solved.

Lets go - first riding day in Sardegna!

It's our first day in Sardinia, we went directly into Sardegnas backcountry, rode along the rocky bays of the north coast, curve after curve we reached Capo Testa, which
offered us a breathtaking view of the rugged, rocky coastline. Porto Cervo was probably not so busy anymore in October, but still there was a yacht left which is probably worth more than a years salary of all locals in town together.

Would you guess its october? Even the temperatur doesn`t know

It is impossible to cath the majesty rock formations of Capo Testa, you really have to experience them.

But i can tell you, it is one of those places in the world where you feel very small as a human individual.

If we would sell all the bikes, we might could afford an daycruise on the boat in the back

Second ridingday - 286km though Sardegnas north

The most important Romanesque church in Sardinia is to the south-east
by Sassari. In this place there used to be a monastery,
whose monks made the church of white and black stones.

The church testifies the craftsmanship of its builders from a time
when Pisa was a city-republic which was powerful enough to influence even Sardinia.

Yes, atz first even some of us thought "well, just a bunch of stones in the middle of nowhere". But if you think about, that 17m high building is about 3.000-5.000 years old, out of the bronze age (whichg came right after the stone age by the way!)

The "house of the king" is definitly worth a visit.

Only in Italy, where nobody gives a shi* about the mercedes but the old, classy Fiat Panda instead!

Apperantly the Barista is a fan of our motorbikes

Day 3 - Olbia to Santa Maria (in rainy weather)

Sticks and stones will my break my bones, but rain won`t stop us from having fun. Is that saying correct?

When the fog disappeared, we could see how beautiful some sardegnian villages lays inbetween the landscape

Day 4 - Exploring Sardegnas southern half

The weather got better, sun comes out inbetween and the fog disappeared so we could have this wonderful view of one of the lakes in Sardegna

During the late 2nd millennium B.C. in the
A Bronze Age developed on the island of Sardinia
special type of defensive structure called nuraghi
known (for which there is nowhere else in the world
parallel there).

The complex consists of circular
defensive towers in the form of truncated cones
carved stone, with corbelled vaulted inner chambers.
The complex of Barumini, built in the first half of the 1st millennium under
Carthaginian printing enlarged and strengthened is the finest and most complete
example of this remarkable form of prehistoric architecture.
