Sardinia and Corsica are two beautiful islands located in the Mediterranean Sea. They are known for their stunning landscapes, picturesque towns, and rich history. Riding a motorcycle on these islands will be a unique and unforgettable experience!

Both islands have some spectacular roads, especially along the coast and through the countryside that offer breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea and we can´t wait to explore them the next days.

After our briefing about culture and highlight spots on the two islands, everyone was keen to get the keys for their bikes and prepare everything for our first riding day tomorrow.

What a great day.... SUN, CURVES and a lot of FUN!!

A spectacular ride across the mountainous high plateau Barbagia and the Gennargentu mountains. We left Olbia towards south and the inland, in direction Nuoro. Almost no traffic and one curve after the other with perfect grip put a smile in our faces all day long. Astonishing views over the landscape made our day complete.

We stopped in Orgosolo, a little village high up in th emountains, which is famous for its murlas. The murals have become an expression of the discontent of people covering Italian and global issues.

Today is again a perfect riding day, the sun is shining and a lot of curves are waiting for us. We cross the Gennargentu Mountains - super twisty and stop shortly at the famous Nuraghe near Barumini - it is one of the famous special type of defensive structure from the Bronze Age. It doesn't exist anywhere else in te world. 

Another highlight along the coast is rock arch S'Archittu, cut into the limestone by the waves of the Mediterranean.

Great day with a lot of FUN and CURVES CURVES CURVES...... it could not be the correct route, if it shows not curves from the morning to evening. We started in the morning from Alghero direction south-east to Villanova on a beautiful paved road. After this we went to our first major sight the romanesque church of Santissima Trinità di Saccargia. Wonderful old church with black balat and white limestone.

Next stop the Nuraghe Santu Antine - a stone tower dating back to the Bronze Age.

We followed small country back roads through cork oak trees and ended up in Palau, our spot on the coast for the next two days.

Today was our restday in Palau. In different groups we discovered the northern part of Sardegna. One group went already to Corse for sightseeing, the other group took a long route in the iback country and the third group went along Costa Smeralda to explore all the small villages with the nice houses and the little harbours with the big and super expensive boats!

Arrividerci Sarinia - Bonjour La Corse!

Today we took the ferry across the Strait of Bonifacio to Corsica. Unfortunately the weather was not the best today - but we made the best out of our day. After we arrived in Bonifacio we went north direction Palombaggia Beach, a lovely spot, where we stopped for a coffee. Afterwards we left the coast to our first pass Col de Bavella. Not the highest, but the most beautiful pass. After more than another million of turns, curves through impressive fairy tale forest we ended up in Corte - the old capital of Corsica.

What fun we had in the rain and fog !!!!

SUN again- this is our weather!

Today Cap Corse also known as the "index finger of Corsica" is on our route - 40 km long and 10 km wide. On a fantastic coastal road we discovered the peninsula.

Col de la Serra - 341 m high is the northernmost point on this tour. We had a magnificant view of the sea and the headland.

We end up in Calvi, a little really nice town with an important fortress on a rock above the city.

We were really lucky today, because we had again a perfect day wirh blue sky and sunshine all day long.

Our route took us along the west coast of Corsica, one of the most spectacular coastal roads on earth. Deep blue sea and crystal clear water.

Col de Vergio was our next highlight, the highest road pass on the island at 1.467 meters. Brrrr pretty cold there ....

Before we stopped in Piana for lunch we passed by the UNESCO world heritage site "Les Calanches", a wonderland of ocher-colored rocks.

Already our last riding day, we split our group this morning - one group did an extra 90 km loop on nice and twisty roads - the other group took it easy and went on backroads to Filitosa.

Filitosa is the largest single site of megalithic statuary in Corsica. The standing stones are all menhirs.

Spectacular views on the coast road brought us back to Bonifacio where we arrived on Corsica four days ago. We enjoyed our lunch and strolled around in the old town.

Our tour ended with another ferry ride back to Sardegna on a rough sea and a last 60 km ride to Olbia.

We had a lot of fun, enjoyed every minute and we hope to see you again next year.
