As usual, this tour starts with a welcome briefing for our guests, followed by the motorcycles and the first dinner together. We got to know each other quite old school, without recording it figuratively.
On a sunny holiday we started with 10 motorcycles into the adventure Alps. And in order not to wait long at all we have the lunch at the summit of the tour, the widely known Passo Stelvio, after 48 hairpin bends at over 9000 feet altitude. Brunos well-known sausages became it, garnished with cabbage and onions was also the lunch itself one of the highlights, apart from the many riding highlights on this beautiful day. After the start in Austria and the transit through Italy, our day ended in Pontresina, Switzerland, with which we have already approached all countries of this trip once.
From Lake Lucerne, we head to what is probably Switzerland's most famous peak. Because the Swiss were crazy enough to transfer a chocolate logo into the real world, or was it the other way around? Anyway, even passes still in hibernation don't stop us from driving past the glacier to Zermatt at the foot of the Matterhorn.
After a formidable view of the Toblerone logo in the early morning, we set off to leave Switzerland behind and enjoy la dolce vita in Italy. Passing Lake Maggiore over narrow and narrowest pass roads, our day ends back in Switzerland after all, even if only just. In the border town of Lugano, an exciting day in Italy comes to an end.
The Start of the day was a little bit rainy and we had to rush to catch a ferry. But we all did it on time and so we could enjoy the rode over lake cómo. After going through over some nice passes we then arrived in Val di Sole where blue sky and sunshine awaited us.
Nice small passes awaited us on today's ride, with the mendel pass as highlight of the day. But there was an other surprise in between our guest asked for granola bars and apples for picknick so they got but also more other things to eat where on the table. Thanks to Peter for preparing this good looking meal.
Not only the guests and their motorcycles enjoy a well-deserved break today - also the blog.
We're looking forward to it!
