Our first riding day, and what a group we are! 40 motorcycles, being split up into 3 smaller groups.
After a good few kilometres on the motorway and alongside hops-fields, we turned off and head into the Bavarian backcountry, hereby exploring the beautiful small and curvy roads, as well as most impressive historical cities such as Eichstätt and Dinkelsbühl. The weather is good too, everybody arrives happily at the hotel by late afternoon.
Looking forward to tomorrow already!
Today everybody is curious about what is to come. Tourguides promise nice roads and some beautiful spots for visiting and taking pictures, and indeed, that is what the day gives us!
Some heavy rain in the morning cannot impede us from enjoying the travel through beautiful Franken.
Picture and coffee in Langenburg are followed by even more spectacular Rothenburg, where we have a very good lunch.
More curves, more turns, small villages, and above all good weather are our companions in the afternoon on our way to Ebrach-abbey and finally Coburg.
Riding day 3, and the weather is so promising, blue skies!
We head off to Eisfeld to get to know the former border between the 2 Germanies.
Once in former eastern Germany, we enjoy great backcountry roads with little traffic all the way to our lunch stop near Rudolstadt.
More beuatiful roads and amazing places such as Naumburg are our companions in the afternoon, until we finally arrive in Leipzig.
It feels, as if we had only just started the tour, and yet, the last riding day has come.
Perfect weather again, and one last time we head north towards our final destination - Berlin.
We ride through the open country and make a first stop at beautiful Goitzschesee, time for pictures and coffee.
Further along the route we reach Wittenberg, famous for its close connection with Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation. We have a good lunch and start our engines to do the very last section of our trip to Berlin. It is hot on the way into the city, and traffic is massive, but everybody makes it to our hotel, before we go to a very joyful and diverting gala dinner with the other Edelweiss groups in the city.
