adventurous, challenging and exciting - overall successful and safe

day 1 - Styria hop corn and wine
our base in Velden at the beautiful Wörthersee
on this tour a cooling west would have been much more useful than heated seats and grips
first stop - Wildensteiner waterfall
vineyards all over
heart shaped road
on the "South Styrian Wine Road" you are constantly crossing borders between Austria and Slovenia
every shade is welcome

day 2 - Slovenia und the Triglav National Park
entering Slovenia over Loibl Pass and Karawanken Mountains in the back
Triglav National Park - we are coming
Bled Lake (Slovenia) with church on island
after the famous "Bled Cream Cake" a short walk at the lake
Bled Castle and church peak
lunch at Bohinjska Sedlo 4200ft
enjoying each corner, and there were plenty

the Soca river with its unique color and its dark history in WW1
mountain pioneers on Mangart Road 6700ft

day 3 - Carinthia with Tauern and Nock Mountains
did you know that the first Porsche 356 was built in Gmünd
of course we went to the museum
coffee stop in this picturesque little city
with a little sightseeing and photos taken
relaxed and happy - Dennis and Anne
Malta mountain road with small one lane tunnels
this is where Austria get its electric power - Malta Lake with Hohe Tauern National Park
reaching the top of Nockalm Rd.

day 4 - Friuli - Italy´s north east corner
its only remnants from WW1 but still a reminder
sun is out every day - what a pleasure
Malga Montasio at the end of the world but perfect Italian coffee
get in touch with the "locals"
Greg is always smiling - looks like he has fun
we came a bit to early.....

pure enjoyment and sooo beautiful

day 5 - castles, churches, history and spectacular viewpoints
the "Austrian Touring Center Group" in the circle and everybody with the correct T-shirt
Pyramidenkogel - 441 steps to the top (elevator out of order) but the view stunning
after this workout some Austrian sweets?

Magdalensberg - lunch and group picture with bikes
