Thursday, March 21, 2024 | Harald Pramhofer | Europe

the best of everything, the group, the weather, the traffic, the roads

day 1 - the training with theory

after the theory we practice on the track
slalom to get a better feeling for the bike
away from public traffic its a lot safer and more easy
the big eight
counterbalancing is the target
push and stear
take a breath and discuss
helps although to get around obstacles
left or right - that's the question
even tight turns are more easy with this new cornering technique
a lightweight bike is also an advantage
but it is possible with any bike

day 2+3 - the loops

morning impressions with the Sierra Nevada in the back
Carsten - the pass cracker
Jürg - the Swiss immigrant
Michael - the fearless son
all higher Mountains had a snowcover from last week
but nothing could stop us
the Sierra with a fresh snow hat
always stay on the blue (and safe) line
Athos, Porthos and Aramis - D'artagnan taking the picture
Velefique Pass always a pleasure
peak summit with a spectacular view
Tetica de Bacares - the highest peak with a perfect 360° view
safety advice before ascending Puerto de la Virgen
Santuario Virgen de la Cabeza de Monteagud
father and son
Senes - the village with the slade roofs

day 4+5 - the tour to La Vinuela

another perfect day starts into the Alpujarras
on our tour to La Vinuela we welcome Marga, Jürgs charming wife
in Pampaneira, one of the beautiful white villages, we have traditional lokal food for lunch
on the old road (A-4050) to Granada
Túnel de La Cabra
finally we reach the coast after all these mountains
spooky fogs coming over the sea
happy couple - Jürg and Marga
group picture at the rocky coast
between olive trees, perfect paved and empty roads - enjoyable riding
four bikes - four different license plates (AUT, GER, SUI and ESP)
it's time to say "good bye" to the snowy Sierra Nevada
even with nobby tires Carsten could enjoy
Michael needs new tires badly after this trip
congratulations to the couple on the Macbor
group picture after a 900mi tour without any troubles or incidents
thank you all - it was a pleasure to have you onboard
