Riding day 6 last day...
Thank you guys! Thomas and I had a great time with you, it definitely was the best tour of this year so far for us Hope I will see you soon on one of our other great Edelweiss Bike Travel motorcycle tours!
Riding day 5
The weather today was again fantastic. We left Pontresina in the morning after a short enjoyable lesson in Swiss history. What was this guys name again?....Whatever. The group split off. Some rode over Furkajoch and were overwhelmed by the outstanding countryside. The passhunters had a fullfilling day riding over Julier-, Bernina- and Flüelapass. We passed through our fourth country on this trip, the principality of Lichtenstein. It is one of the smallest countries in the world.
Riding day 4
Still having fun riding the Ducti, at our first stop in Glurenza. This city is with about 800 inhabitants the smallest in Italy. Located on the old salt trade route, the town was very important during the 14th and 15th centuries. Since rebuilding the city in the 16th century Glurns fell into a long, deep sleep and kept it´s charming medieval character.
Cooling down....
Having lunch at the Tibethaus... Passo di Stelvio!!! Planned in 1818, the pass road was built within 2 years by about 200 workers. Nowadays it is the highest pass of Italy and the third highest of the Alps.
48 switch backs and everyone had a blast...
Riding day 3 (rest day)
The weather was fantastic to explore the city of Bolzano or ride out with the bikes and hit some more passes. We enjoyed the great mixture of Italian-Austrian lifestyle and cuisine in the wonderful Old Town of Bozen.
The riding group had a lot of fun. We guided them over six outstanding passes.
Old town of Bolzano
Local sepcialities were offered at the market.
Possibility to spend some quality time together!
Riding day 2
After a nice ride through the eastern Dolomites we stoped for coffee and tried to get in contact with the locals. Plenty of hairpin turns and the most impressive scenery surrounded us.
After we hit two of the nicest passes of the Domomites picnic was already sorted!!! We also had a fantastic view from Valporola Pass
Riding day 1
Great day at the Großglocknerpass! Everybody was exited riding up one of the most spectacular alpine road in Austria. We even got to see some snow on top of the highest mountain of the country, but the temperature was still nice!
The hyperboys had a blast with there multis!
We woke up this morning and saw a beautiful blue sky! Everybody is getting ready to head to the Grossglockner Pass, with its stunning glaciers and mountain peaks surrounding it.
After we sorted out the gadgets, it was time to roll...
