As the most fascinating city in Poland Cracow has a special flair and the sheer number of historical sites is just amazing: 140 churches and 5,500 protected historic buildings. The 700 year old castle, Wawel, is the most important historic site in Poland, as it is where all the kings were crowned and buried. The city square is one of the largest in Europe and certainly one of the most beautiful. And these are only a few major attractions!

The Moscow Kremlin is the oldest part of the Russian capital Moscow and its historical center. Since 1992 the 27.5 hectare plant has been the seat of the President of the Russian Federation.
Characteristic of the Kremlin is its fortification complex with the 20 towers. This was built for the most part in the years 1485 to 1499 and is still well maintained. The Kremlin is not least a museum and was included as a political and formerly religious center of Russia in 1990 in the list of the UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Overnight stay in a Yurt! At 3000m above sea level
The facilities are spartan, but you will have your (simple) bed and a toilet. This is a special experience in several aspects. Especially nature around us is impressive, touching and almost untouched.

Yurts are the homes of the nomads. These are made out of wool, fleece, leather and wood, easily folded and transportable.Yurts are functional for all weather and climate conditions. In the Kyrgyz language they are called Bosuy. You will find them all along your way, especially in the more remote areas where it is still the most comfortable home for a shepherd. The food served in the yurts is based on lamb, fat, potatoes and some rice. The kitchen place is very basic, with an oven installed for cooking and to keep the yurt warm. Furs make it cozy.

The Mogao Caves contain the world´s biggest collection of Buddhist art. During the peak of the area’s history, there were 18 monasteries with 1,400 monks. The guided tour through the caves takes about 2 hours and includes 10 caves in which you will see many different kinds of manuscripts and Buddhist fragments. There are 492 caves in total. Different caves open for touring at different times.

The Terracotta Army is a collection of about 8,000 warriors, 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses. The army was built to protect the first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, in his afterlife. Over 700,000 workers were involved in building the army. A group of farmers found fragments of the army while digging a well northeast of the city on the 29th of March 1974.
Today we can visit the warriors in four of the pits which are overbuildt meanwhile and open to public.

Lijiang is Yunnan's pride and joy. UNESCO World Heritage Site, a city of music, flowers, water channels, and 300 bridges - with unique architecture. In addition, clear air, a mild climate, lush vegetation, and the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (5,596m) at your feet.
Lijiang means "city by a beautiful river", a very fitting description: girls are selling small, lotus-shaped polystyrene boats with candles on the streets. Light the candle, make a wish, and send the boat on one of the many canals of the city. When you walk through the narrow cobblestone streets late in the evening, the canals of Lijiang shine in a myriad of glowing boats.
Of course, in a city like Lijiang, you are not alone. Eleven million tourists come here every year, and the numbers are rising rapidly. For them, the old town is being extended more and more, because in China, buildings do not have to be really old to be old. What really counts is the spirit.

The Tiger Leaping Gorge is 16 kilometers long and the elevation difference between the Yangtze River and the snow-covered peaks of the mountains of Haba Shan is about 3,900 meters. It is possible to ride down the gorge by motorcycle and stop at Tina’s Guesthouse.
From the guesthouse, there is a 40-minute walking trail down to the Tiger Leaping Stone.
A legend says that a tiger once jumped over the Yangtze River from this stone ...

The Luang Prabang mountains are the easternmost range of the Thai highlands. The range runs roughly in a North/South direction between the Mekong and the Nan River. The highest point of the range is 2,120 m high Phu Soi Dao. The vegetation is evergreen hill forest on the highest altitudes of the range height and mostly dry deciduous forest below 1,000 m. The Nam Phouy National Biodiversity Conservation Area, a large protected area in Laos home to many wild elephants and tigers, is located in a forested sector close to the Thai border. Yetis are said to have been spotted in the remote Mae Charim area of the range.

From Son Trach (also known as Phong Nha village) it is possible to explore a great number of diverse caves. Some can be visited floating on a boat (Phong Nha), or immersing in a mud bath in the darkness (Dark Cave), others can be explored on a trek (Paradise Cave) and finally Hang Son Doong requires a 7-day expedition and 3.000 $.

Da Nang is a fast growing coastal city in central Vietnam. Situated just south of the Hai Van pass, it is rarely affected by the colder climate from the north. Its climate is thus mostly warm and the long sandy beaches combined with a lively nightlife made this city very appealing in recent years.
