Best of Italy BOI

Italy   |  San Marino

Loads of riding fun in the land of pizza, pasta and amore!

There is hardly a country in the world that is better suited for a motorcycle vacation than Italy. 95% of the country consists of mountains, which means that almost all roads are twisty. The landscape is gorgeous, the infrastructure is well developed, the people are friendly and motorcycle-savvy, the cuisine is varied and always of the highest quality, and wine, as well as beer and coffee, are always excellent. Away from the main traffic arteries, there is little traffic and a virtually endless supply of cultural, historical, and natural attractions, so you never, ever need to be bored.

This tour is a cross-section of the heart of Italy. It starts in Rome, the eternal city, leads up to the Republic of San Marino, and over to Florence, that museum-like city. Here, we spend a rest day where you can ride into the hills north of the city or even to Pisa to check if the leaning tower is really leaning. Then it's off to the Chianti region, where Tuscany looks just like you've seen it in countless books and movies.

Our overnight stops in Volterra, Siena, and Pienza are not very far apart, but there is so much to see here and so many beautiful roads to ride that it takes us all day to get from one place to the other. Under the Tuscan sun, the Dolce Vita is at home and on this tour, you will discover it. That's a promise.
