The vast country of Brazil has so many great landscapes, sights and climates to offer that it is difficult to choose just one destination. But for those of you looking for a breathtaking motorcycle tour that includes mysterious coastlines, canyons and lonely plateaus as well as winding mountain roads, the South of Brazil must be at the top of your bucket list.
This motorcycle tour starts in Florianópolis in the state of Santa Catarina, an island of beautiful beaches, good restaurants and a super cool vibe. All good reasons to arrive a day or two in advance. On the first day we set off for the mountains. Passing historic towns and breathtaking scenery, lined with many canyons whose cliffs form the border between the mountains and the plateau, we move as if in a trance. An area that seems to have no end. Rugged, wild, grandiose and seductive, with landscapes that offer unique impressions. The roads of the famous Serras do Rio do Rastro and do Corvo Branco can compete with those of the Alps.
This region, mainly populated by Germans and Italians, offers an incredible cuisine that we will enjoy extensively! At times it feels like we are travelling through Europe. After 9 great days of riding we reach our destination, the Brazilian metropolis of Porto Alegre, in the very south of Brazil and an ideal starting point to extend your trip individually. The impressive Iguazú Falls, located in the border triangle of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, are just over an hour's flight from Porto Alegre. Do not miss the opportunity to visit them.
